A little about me

IMG_1395 (4).jpg

Hey! I'm Alys, your dedicated marriage celebrant bringing a touch of Welsh warmth to Melbourne. Originally hailing from the land of Wales, I have now made Melbourne my home. In case you're wondering, Alys is pronounced Alice, just spelt the Welsh way.

Becoming a marriage celebrant was a natural calling for me. From an early age I have always had a love of connecting with people and a curiosity to understand their stories. A few years ago, I had a yearning to learn something new and find a way to combine my creativity and love of storytelling. This led me into studying celebrancy and its been my best decision yet.

My skills as a mental health Occupational Therapist come in handy as a celebrant! I am open, curious, and a deep listener, I bring a warm and supportive vibe and I can hold space for all those big emotions. Whether it's navigating family dynamics, easing your nerves or ensuring that everyone feels supported and included, I've got you.

What else is there to know about me?

  • I'm newly engaged (yay) to my gorgeous fiancé, Jake.

  • Being in nature makes me happy.

  • Dancing is my way of unwinding.

  • I am a mad Richmond supporter - go the tiges!

  • Scuba diving is my coolest hobby.

My celebrant style is warm, friendly and down-to-earth. Whether you're after modern or traditional, romantic or laid back, intimate or grand, I will help you bring your vision to life.

If I sound like the kind of celebrant you are looking for, I would love to hear from you. We can work together to create your perfect ceremony - that I can guarantee will be fun, heartfelt and forever memorable!

“Love is a vessel that contains both security and adventure, and commitment offers one of the great luxuries of life: time. Marriage is not the end of romance, it is the beginning.”
